GETTING AROUND

By car:
Take exit 169 from Interstate 5 (the 45th/50th Street Exit) whether traveling north or south. Head east (toward the UW Tower) on NE 45th Street. You are now in the University District.

It's just two blocks to the first corridor, Roosevelt Way NE. Three blocks later you will intersect University Way NE (The Ave). This is a primary retail corridor with lots of dining and shopping options. Two blocks later is the north entrance to the University of Washington. In another 6 blocks or so you will see University Village Shopping Center to the north.

By bus:

The following Metro bus lines will connect you to the University District from these locations: Downtown (71, 72, 73), Capitol Hill (7,43), Ballard (44), Fairview/Eastlake (70), Kirkland (540), Northgate (66, 67, 68).
